The most significant advantage for being a Corporate Industrial photographer is that you follow a subject after your own heart, do lots of research on photography and get into this field in a professional way. In addition you get to earn a good deal. Commercial photography is a highly satisfying, well paid practice. If you are smart in your work and try to meet the right folk and get the right jobs, you can finish up with a fortune.
Other businesses use company photography for marketing advertisements to give to current or potential clients, or to hand out at job interviews or at recruiting events. In these instances, the company or agency should be portrayed in the absolute best way. Many individuals know stock pictures, and they’re viewed in design and layout circles as dismal and unimaginative images. Corporations come across as stylish and forward-thinking when they use fresh, unique pictures in their promotion literature and leaflets.

JIM CUNNINGHAM has been providing distinctive location photography to his clients for over 20 years.
Growing up in Pittsburgh the arena of industry was all around him and by his late teens an interest in railroads was the catalyst that brought him to acquire his first camera. Jim Cunninghamwent on to receive a degree in Design and Visual Communications from Southern Illinois University. He then came back to his hometown and began his career at Pittsburgh’s largest and most active studio and was promoted to staff photographer for Bechtel Establishment on an overseas assignment for 2 years in Saudi. With his accumulated expertise his studio has been serving Corporate and Commercial clients in the United States by providing excellent pictures of their people, products and buildings. Jim’s work has taken him into coal mines, steel mills, railroad depots and numerous production factories as well as medical centers and corporate offices across the United States and across the planet. He has hung out from airplanes, spalunked around through a Thirty eight inch coal mine and gone up 200 feet in a cherry picker to get that distinctive angle of view.
“I like the challenge of going into a situation and making something interesting out of what is seemingly something uninteresting. I think the reason I love [minor] photography so much is also because of all the interesting new worlds it has opened up to me. I would not trade the people I’ve met and the places I’ve been to because of it for anything.” Jim Cunningham
